Jacque: 8th Month Update

My babygirl is 8 months old today!

There’s no way 8 months have passed since then!

I have an 8th month old! I can’t still imagine right now that Jacque is mine. Everything with her is happening fast! Time needs to slow down, because I think I am not yet ready for all of this growing up that keeps happening.

8 months!

She is very curious, very aware of surroundings.

For example, every morning my mom takes dirty diaper from our room, and she almost knows her coming in every morning, she puts her head up and looks then goes back to sleep. She is waiting for my mom every morning now. She is so clever.

We changed her earrings at this month to loop earrings, but after two weeks, we decided to put her old earrings back coz she keeps detangling them.. the loop earrings looked good on her though too! She got her new matching necklace and bracelet too! And she looks so cute with them.

She loves to pinch mommy. Omg! Loves to reach my necklace and pull it. She pulls my hair when they are not up. She loves to crawl towards my cellphone or MacBook charger cord. It’s crazy. She’s into everything!

She is a fast learner. Whenever I show her things, like how to push buttons etc, she copies right away!

I am not sure how exactly she weighs and how tall now, but she now wears, 12-18 months clothing or depend on the clothing size, sometimes she wears 18-24 months clothes. I am sure she is gaining because she is pretty heavy now.

Teething

Her two bottom teeth are really showing. She knows how to show her tongue if you ask her to.

Mobility

She is so strong that she can carry herself everywhere with good balance. She is very active non-stop! She crawls. She pulls herself up, goes on her knees.. she can sit down on her own when she leans on mommy.. from her tummy to sitting down.. she knows different yoga poses. She side planks. She is so flexible, I think all babies do.. It is incredible how she likes stretching her legs out.. Oh, and when we are cleaning/changing her diaper, she knows that she has to put her legs up. She puts them up on her own. She is so smart!

Whenever she is in the kitchen, waiting for food.. She has these shape blocks and she bangs them together.. She makes bubbles.. She can clap, does the “open-shut” or close-open.

Sleep

She still sings herself to sleep. Sometimes we hum tunes together. She loves to sleep on mommy’s arms at night.. She also loves mommy to cuddle her while sleeping. She still sleeps through the night. Take naps, twice or thrice a day for about 1-2 hrs, sometimes 3 hours. She goes to sleep around 9–10pm, wakes up at 8-9am. Still the same.. No crying. I am so lucky! When she wakes up, she greets me with a smile. (Make my heart melt <3)

Eating

She eats everything. No allergies, thanks God! And she is still breastfeeding on demand. She is now taking more solid food than milk. She eats three times a day.. and she loves everything!

She knows how to drink from a straw! She had a little bit of Mommy’s healthy smoothies.. She loved it!

Strawberries

Plums

Cantaloupe

Mango

Peaches

Berries

Blueberries (I think its her favourite, like mommy)

Communication

Been hearing ba-baas, papa, mama, “dede” - milk. She can make fart sounds and still blows raspberry..

Whenever she is tired in her bouncer, she draws her hands, wants someone to pick her up. When mom or grandma leaves, she let us know she wants to come with. She tells us if she wants attention by grunting or cooing.

Play and Games

If she sees string (from hoodies, or joggers) she will surely pull it, thinking maybe it will make a sound. She is so funny. With her little hair, sometimes I catch her pulling her hair. Haha! She makes me laugh! Still everything she touches like toys, go to her mouth.

She feels excited and happy whenever she hears her favourite nursery rhyme. I think, Humpty Dumpty, Three Little Kittens, The Wheels on the Bus, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Hey You, Peek-a-Boo are her favourite nursery rhymes from the show. She watches one and only show, The Little Baby Bum. She is very loyal to the show lol She has seen no interest with any show but that one show. I will try to introduce her Disney Movies soon. Lol

She loves her books. She enjoys flipping through pages. For now, she prefers the cloth books, coz its soft and she can flip through pages.

Mommy reads her books. Looking to her face, she is fascinated by the colours and drawings.

She loves outside!

Whenever we go out, she loves to look at her surroundings. She is so happy outside.
