Audrina’s First Month

How has it already been a whole month since I gave birth to my second beautiful child?   

Life has been a bit chaotic since Audrina arrived last beginning of March but I am absolutely loving being a Mommy to two lovely girls! Here it is, Audrina’s first ever baby update.

Our baby girl has settled in wonderfully. I can’t believe she’s been here this long already! Its going so fast. I’m so worried I am not taking enough photos of her to record it all.

Size Audrina has changed so much since she was born, it is amazing how much she has grown in just almost 5 weeks. Height: As of our last appointment, 26th of March --- 20 inches. Weight: 7.7 lbs. at our last appointment, which was 1 pound 4 ounces more than her birth weight! She can still fit into newborn clothes. Sooner, she'll move into 1-3 months. She is growing so fast! Eat Oh man, she loves to eat!! She takes after her daddy on this one. She can’t get enough of the boob. She’ll take it whenever I will give it to her. Playing Right now, she loves the swing. Sometimes, she dozes off when mommy puts her there. Wake/Sleep Audrina almost sleeps all day. She starts waking up around 6-8am, when her big sis has to get ready for daycare. When daddy and big sister leaves, she'll have breakfast and nap. She usually has an hour stretch then she'll go back to sleep again. We go to bed around 7pm, latest 9pm. Audrina wakes up usually once or twice at night, around midnight-1am or around 4 or 6 am. Favorites Lullabies (like her sister) Swaddles Swing MILESTONES Holding her head up – Audrina can hold her head up for small periods but she doesn’t do it for long. Watching – She follows noises and movements and looks at you when you talk to her, she can focus properly!

What does Jacquelyn think? It is a big change for Jacque and we are trying our best to be patient with her, especially with sharing the boob, and understanding while she adjusts to life as no longer an only child. She likes to call her sister or sissy. She helps mommy during diaper changes. She, one time, throws the dirty diaper to the bin without me asking. (True Story) She offers pacifier when Audrina is getting fussy. When little sis drops something like her hat or socks, coz she is so tiny still, Jacque picks it up and gives it to mommy or tries to put it on her. When Audrina goes to her crib during the day, big sis is the one who puts the music (the shoosher) on. She loves to pat her in the head gently and kiss her.. How amazing how she fell in love instantly with her little sis, right? That is it for Audrina’s one month baby update. It took me days  to finish the whole blog. Lol
